Sasquatch Politely Asks Fourth Brewery This Year to Stop Using His Likeness
The letter calls the hazy IPA's name, Blurry Guy, 'hurtful in its accuracy.'

VANCOUVER — A local Sasquatch has formally requested that a fourth Clark County brewery this year discontinue use of his likeness, according to a letter shared with this paper on the condition that it remain blurry.
The letter, written in careful block capitals, asks the brewery to retire a hazy IPA whose label depicts “a large, dignified figure mid-stride” and whose name, Blurry Guy, the letter calls “hurtful in its accuracy.”
“Our label is an homage to the region,” the brewery’s taproom manager said. “That could be anyone walking into the trees at dusk.”
County records could not establish how many breweries currently operate in Clark County, though attorneys familiar with the matter say at least three logos are legally his face.
The Sasquatch, who edits this newspaper, declined to comment, citing an ongoing situation in the watershed.
