Fast-Growing Ridgefield Receives Its Physician

RIDGEFIELD — Legacy Health opened a primary care clinic on South Royle Road on Tuesday, delivering one physician and three advanced-practice providers to one of the fastest-growing cities in Washington, which received the doctor as infrastructure.
Residents have begun planning appointment strategy with the rigor of a Dog Mountain permit application, trading notes on portal refresh timing and cancellation-list positioning.
“It really makes it feel like a town now,” said a recent arrival who lives on a cul-de-sac named for the orchard it replaced.
The city adds subdivisions at a pace the clinic’s waiting room was not designed to model, though staff described opening day as calm. The physician is reported to be settling in, seeing patients, and aware of the numbers.
The city’s long-planned recreation center sent congratulations from final permitting, where it lives.
